Taylor Whitaker is an aspiring blogger and and Media Consultant, and is a Junior at Rutgers University majoring in Journalism & Media Studies while minoring in Digital Communication and Information in Media. Many are unaware of the many forms leadership presents itself, that includes through social media. Social media has been a valuable asset in allowing leaders to flourish and share their goals and mission expanding their impact and follower base on a much larger scale. The power of social media is also understated as mere trends or phases, social media has the power to extend the longevity of leaders who now have anywhere from thousands to millions of people following and looking to them for guidance and encouragement to keep fighting for change.
